无聊的一天

今天，真是无聊啊！

考试难到死掉……

Seni很难！（因为没读嘛……）

考到60问题，有没有搞错！

今天也有考Sivik… 考题还OK咯……

也有考PJK… PJK也是很难一下……

但，下个星期三是最辛苦的！

考Geografi! 考Sejarah!

结果，那些男生读不到十五分钟就变SaKai了～哇…

但女孩子叻～有些乖乖温习功课（像我一样，哈哈～无聊！）……

有些就一个group一个group, 高谈阔论！

总之，每个人都在一个group一个group里面（除了读小说的人啦！）…… 做她们的东西，聊她们的事！

但，有一位小姐静静地坐住那边，watching the world go by… 发呆！

那位小姐就是Christine LWY啦！

他也有跟Iffah聊天…… 但，他们de谈话只lasted for 几分钟罢了……

The Lamest Party EVER

Kah Chun's party is the lamest party I had EVER attended… EVER! There's no music… and the adults are behaving like children… trying to make the kids laugh.

    Even the adults played "Musical Chairs" with the kids! I mean, how lame is that? And there's a 10 year old junior who really behaves like a 10-month-old baby. For Chris's sake… I rather study at home than facing the bored-ness at the party! I just sat there… stand there… eat a few junk (now I'm sucking my second lollipop.) and just sit there. As I mentioned that already.

    Well, gotta go now… (remember: do NOT ever attend a junior's party. You don't want to be stuck with stuck-up adults pretending to be nice. Nuh-uh!)

Pendahuluan     

Saya, Saw Shi Ying, ialah seorang pelajar Tingkatan 1 Cekal di Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Serdang.

    Tajuk kajian saya ialah potensi bentuk muka bumi terhadap aktiviti penduduk di Taman Seri Serdang, Selangor. Saya telah memilih Taman Seri Serdang sebagai kawasan Kajian Geografi Tempatan saya.

    Melalui kajian ini, saya dapat mengenali pasti pelbagai bentuk muka bumi di Taman Seri Serdang. Selain itu, saya juga dapat mengetahui sumbangan dan potensi pelbagai bentuk muka bumi di Taman Seri Serdang terhadap aktiviti penduduk tempatan.

Objektif Kajian

Objektif khusus Kajian Geografi Tempatan ini dijalankan adalah untuk:

1. Mengenal pasti jenis bentuk muka bumi yang terdapat di Taman Seri Serdang
2. Mengenal pasti jenis kegiatan ekonomi utama yang dilakukan oleh penduduk Taman Seri Serdang.
3. Mengkaji potensi pelbagai bentuk muka bumi terhadap aktiviti penduduk di Taman Seri Serdang.
4. Mengenal pasti halangan bentuk bumi terhadap kegiatan manusia di Taman Seri Serdang.
5. Menjelaskan langkah-langkah mengurangkan kesan kegiatan manusia terhadap alam sekitar di Taman Seri Serdang.

Kawasan Kajian

    Nama Serdang berasal daripada sebatang pokok yang kini boleh didapati di Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Taman Seri Serdang terletak di Bandar Seri Kembangan dalam daerah Petaling. Taman perumahan ini dihubungkan dengan tempat-tempat lain seperti Balakong, Kepong, dan Kuala Lumpur melalui jalan raya dan lebuh raya. Jarak antara Taman Seri Serdang dengan pusat perdagangan Seri Kembangan ialah 3 kilometer.

Taman Seri Serdang dibuka sekitar tahun 1980-an ekoran daripada pembukaan kawasan perlombongan bijih timah di kawasan berhampiran. Sejak itu, ramailah penduduk berhijrah ke kawasan ini dan bekerja sebagai pelombong. Kini, walaupun aktiviti perlombongan tidak lagi dijalankan, namun penduduk terus menetap di sini kerana terdapat pelbagai kemudahan asas yang disediakan oleh pihak kerajaan.

Kaedah Kajian

Saya telah menggunakan beberapa kaedah untuk mengumpul dan memperoleh maklumat yang diperlukan dalam kajian ini. Kaedah yang telah digunakan ialah:

1. Lawatan dan pemerhatian. Kaedah ini digunakan untuk mengenal pasti pelbagai bentuk muka bumi dan taburannya di kawasan kajian. Selain itu, pemerhatian dijalankan untuk melihat potensi pelbagai bentuk muka bumi terhadap aktiviti penduduknya.
2. Temu bual. Kaedah ini digunakan untuk mendapatkan maklumat tentang jenis kegiatan ekonomi yang dilakukan oleh penduduk tempatan. Melalui kaedah ini maklumat sebenar tentang sumbangan pelbagai bentuk muka bumi terhadap penduduk di kawasan kajian juga diperoleh.
3. Pembacaan. Kaedah pembacaan dilakukan untuk mendapatkan fahaman tentang potensi pelbagai bentuk bumi. Buku-buku rujukan dan majalah merupakan bahan rujukan yang utama bagi saya dan rakan-rakan yang lain.

Hasil Kajian

Tentang Bentuk Muka Bumi di Seri Serdang Sebahagian dan Cirinya

    Bentuk muka bumi di Taman Seri Serdang sebahagian besarnya terdiri daripada tamah pamah yang rata, Walau bagaimanapun, di sebelah timur kawasan ini terdapat kawasan berbukit yang rendah dan dijadikan kawasan penguburan Cina.

    Saya bersyukur dan berbangga kerana bentuk muka bumi di Taman Seri Serdang yang rata membolehkan penduduknya menjalankan pelbagai aktiviti.

Potensi Bentuk Muka Bumi Kepada Kegiatan Manusia Dan Pembangunan Di Kawasan Kajian

1. Petempatan

    Bentuk muka bumi yang rata di Taman Seri Serdang sangat berpotensi sebagai kawasan petempatan. Petempatan di kawasan kajian sebahagian besarnya membentuk pola berpusat iaitu disimpang tiga pekan Taman Seri Serdang. Pola berjajar pula terdapat di sepanjang jalan raya.

    Seri Serdang menjadi tumpuan tempat tinggal penduduk disebabkan banyak

kegiatan ekonomi seperti aktiviti perindustrian, perniagaan, pendidikan (Universiti

Putra Malaysia, Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Serdang) dan petanian.

1. Perindustrian

    Bentuk muka bumi yang rata juga membolehkan kegiatan perindustrian dijalankan di Taman Seri Serdang. Oleh itu, terdapat kawasan perindustrian di sebelah barat perindustrian Taman Seri Serdang. Antara jenis perindustrian yang dijalankan ialah seperti industri memproses makanan dan minuman, industry kertas, kilang kasut dan tayar. Kawasan perindustrian ini telah banyak memberi peluang pekerjaan kepada penduduk sekitar.

Halangan Bentuk Muka Bumi Terhadap Kegiatan Manusia

Kawasan tanah pamah yang luas dan rendah menghalang pelbagai aktiviti penduduk semasa hujan lebat. Masalah banjiran Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Serdang dan Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Indah menganggu kesesakan lalu lintas pembelajaran dan pengajaran. Oleh itu, pembanguan petempatan tidak dapat dikembangkan dengan meluas.

Walau bagaimanapun, penduduk di Taman Seri Serdang tetap berasa bersyukur kerana kawasan tanah pamah di kawasan ini telah dapat kemajuan.

Kesan Kegiatan Manusia Terhadap Alam Sekitar

    Kegiatan perindustrian di Taman Seri Serdang telah mendatangkan kesan terhadap alam sekitar. Antaranya, pencemaran udara akibat peningkatan asap, jelaga, gas karbon monosida dan sulfur dioksida daripada kilang-kilang. Perindustrian di Taman Seri Serdang ini telah menyebabkan pencemaran udara kerana kilang-kilang yang beroperasi secara haram telah mengeluarkan asap toksik.

    Selain itu, pencemaran air juga telah dapat dikesan di Sungai Kuyoh. Masalah ini berpunca daripada pembungan sisa-sisa kumbahan ke dalam sungai tersebut. Industri Kecil dan Sederhana (IKS) membuang sisa industri pepejal dan cecair ke dalam Sungai Kuyoh. Ini menyebabkan sungai tersumbat dan kotor. Banjir juga berlaku disebabkan oleh sungai tersumbat. Tabiat orang ramai yang suka membuang sampah ke dalam longkang dan sungai juga telah mencemarkan sungai.

    Walau bagaimanapun, saya bersyukur dan berbangga kerana kegiatan perindustrian ini telah memberi peluang pekerjaan yang banyak kepada penduduk setempat.

Langkah Mengurangkan Kesan Kegiatan Manusia Terhadap Alam Sekitar

    Bagi mengatasi masalah pencemaran udara dari asap kilang, pengusaha kilang dikehendaki menggunakan alat penapis asap atau "catalytic converter". Selain itu, corong asap juga hendaklah dipasang tinggi.

    Selain itu, untuk mengatasi masalah pencemaran air sungai, kempen Cintai Sungai kita hendaklah dijalankan oleh Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran dari masa ke masa.

    Penduduk Taman Seri Serdang sangat menghargai dan berbangga atas usaha-usaha pihak yang terlibat dalam mengawal pencemaran alam sekitar di kawasan ini.

Rumusan

    Saya menyedari betapa bertuahnya penduduk Taman Seri Serdang. Kawasan kediaman mereka mempunyai banyak keistimewaan. Kampung ini mempunyai bentuk muka bumi yang menggalakkan kegiatan petanian. Kawasan tanah pamahnya berpotensi untuk dimajukan bagi petempatan dan pembinaan jalan raya.

    Kawasan paya pula berpotensi ditebus guna untuk dijadikan penternakan ikan air tawar. Kawasan cerun bukit di kampung ini pula berpotensi untuk dijadikan kawasan penanaman kelapa sawit. Penduduknya telah menyesuaikan dan mengubahsuai pelbagai i bentuk muka untuk kesejahteraan hidup mereka.

The 1971 Kuala Lumpur floods was a major flash flood disaster in Malaysia that occurred in January 1971. The flooding was the result of heavy monsoon rains, which swelled the Klang, Batu, and Gombak rivers. 32 people were killed and 180,000 people were affected. The Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak declared a state of national disaster in Western Malaysia.

The floods were the worst in the country since 1926. As a result of the flooding, the Kuala Lumpur Flood Mitigation Programme was set up.

Landslides in Indonesia

Landslides triggered by an earthquake in western Indonesia wiped out at least three villages this week, an official said today.

As many as 644 people, including a wedding party, were buried under mountains of mud and debris, according to Rustam Pakaya, the head of the health ministry's crisis centre.

If all 644 are confirmed dead, the government's death toll from Wednesday's quake would jump to more than 1,300 from the current 715.

Pakaya said the villages of Pulau Aiya, Lubuk Lawe and Jumena were completely leveled by the landslides. Four hundred people attending a wedding in Pulau Aiya were buried by a quake-triggered landslide, and 244 people were buried in the two other villages.

Rescuers searching for survivors in the Sumatran city of Padang had been spurred on by a text message received from a survivor trapped in a collapsed hotel, saying that he and some others were alive.

But hopes were fading as sniffer dogs failed to detect life.

Padang's police chief said voices and handclaps had been heard from survivors buried in the Ambacang hotel since the 7.6-magnitude quake on Wednesday and that yesterday one survivor had sent a text message to relatives.

Colonel Boy Rafli Amar told reporters today that, after more than six hours of searching, "so far rescuers have found nothing".

In remote areas outside Padang the full scale of the disaster was only starting to become clear, with survivors drinking coconut water after their drinking sources were contaminated, Reuters reported.

"In my village, 75 people were buried. There are about 300 people missing from this whole area. We need tents and excavators to get the bodies but the roads are cut off," said Ogi Martapela, 28, who said his older brother had died in the landslide.

The aid effort appeared to be cranking up today, but it has yet to reach many areas.

Testos, an Indonesian Red Cross worker at an aid station in central Padang, said his team now had about half the supplies it needed for people made homeless by the quake. "We also need drinking water and clothes because many peoples clothes were burnt in fires," he said. "And we need medicines to stop infection."

An Australian naval vessel set sail for Sumatra equipped with a mobile 40-bed hospital with surgical facilities, and Sea King helicopters, the country's defence ministry said. More emergency teams and further aid from Britain were being dispatched to the region today.

Oxfam sent water treatment units and plastic sheeting for shelters and extra staff from its warehouse in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

A team from the British Red Cross was due to leave London's Heathrow airport this afternoon to co-ordinate the charity's distribution of aid, while last night a team from the search and rescue charity Rapid UK arrived in Padang with specialist equipment such as thermal cameras and lifting gear.

They were the first official search crew from Britain to arrive in the crisis-hit country.

Another planeload of search and rescue personnel, organized by the Department for International Development, will arrive later today to join in the effort.

Sixty-five British firefighters were grounded at Gatwick airport yesterday after a fault developed in a government-chartered aircraft. The delay frustrated British officials, who said time was running out for people trapped in collapsed buildings.

But the military stepped in and an RAF C17 aircraft is flying the search and rescue experts and 17 tones of aid from RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire to Padang.

The quake, from one of the world's most active seismic fault lines along the Pacific "ring of fire", struck with a force that shook buildings hundreds of kilometers away in Singapore and Malaysia.

The United Nations estimated that 1,100 people had been killed in the earthquake. Indonesia's disaster management agency put the toll of confirmed dead and missing so far at 809.

Rescue teams, many wearing masks to cover the stench of bodies as they worked in the tropical heat, were fanning out from Padang to some of the worst-hit surrounding areas.

Asked about rescue efforts in Pariaman, the vice-president, Jusuf Kalla, said it was now about retrieving bodies. "We can be sure that they are dead. So now we are waiting for burials," he said on Metro TV.

Presentation

As I sat down working on our group's project, I felt a surge of excitement. Yeah! We're gonna rock at the front of the class!

At the thought of that, I almost let out a giggle… fancy Timid Saw Shi Ying being excited to speak at the front of the class! Can you even imagine that?! Giggle

I just can't wait! Everything's in order (well, not every single thing, of course. One of our group members is ill and probably won't turn up tomorrow… but we can make it. Hey, we got confidence baby!)… And I can't wait to see her face when she is being called to answer a super hard question by me. :D

Surely we're gonna rock!! My job is to get ready the Mahjong paper and write the notes on it. 都是我的错，害到妳被华文老师骂到那么厉害。我们回去座位的时候，看到妳哭，真是把我吓坏了呢。唉～都是我不好。这是我第一次把我的朋友害到那么厉害。我不管你生不生我的气，只要我想你抱歉，就好了。

唉～非常担心… 伤心… 寂寞………

唉～我连专心听课也不能，今天有prep, 很麻烦呢。黄绣雯他们都提早放学，为什么Pn Nik也不要为我们而提早放开我们呢？很"衰"哦……我觉得。

Pn Nik是我的KH老师，她人OK 咯…… 只是有时会给太多功课做…… T.T

想起昨天发生的事情…… 不禁感到非常悲伤。那件事是有点私人，绝对不可告诉你。我跟Tania SMS… 他帮了我很大的忙，好感谢他啊！酱才叫作true friend嘛…… 呵呵呵～

别看我那么高兴的样子。其实我真正的有很多问题还没解决…… 没有人可帮到我的。说是真的。唉～每天晚上，呆着ceiling… replaying我所做错的东西。想着…… 想着…… 思念着…… 就睡着了。每天都酱，没神经病才怪呢。>.<

我发现到我这个人很容易哭，有时很自私，人也是很胆小一下。为什么我说我自己自私呢？因为……

我在Jusco的新开的大众书局买了很多笔一下，全部g-soft牌（很便宜啊！）。我知道Iffah很喜欢拿我的笔来用，然后带回家，害到我回家的时候，找不到我的笔，只好用我妹妹的，很可怜。我也知道Iffah很喜欢g-soft牌的笔，所以我一直很担心他会拿我的笔回家慢慢用完它。你说，我自私吗？！

Why don't you just… back off?! My business is so not your business! I don't know why I forgive you for making fun of my name. Don't deny that too. I heard it from the girl you hate- Christine Leong Wei Yen. At first I forgave u… cuz that time you haven't know me yet. We're still strangers at that time. Now I had removed you from my Favorites category. It's no surprise. I know you dun like me for my need of friends to do everything for me. I can change! Just give me a chance. But now's too late. Nobody can stand being with you, no matter what. You dun believe? Just look at yourself! You're a bad-tempered bitch! Always on PMS… I can't understand how that friend of yours can stand being with you… you're a bad-tempered girl! Always scolding your friends! Very soon friends will be leaving you. Trust me.

嗨～ 很抱歉哦…… 没有时间写部落格……Too busy updating the Pinklicious Girlz’ blog… Hehe…

I waited for a few minutes for my driver to come pick me up to East Northumberland High… and she appeared in an old-fashion car. Great. Now my schoolmates are gonna think that my driver is my mother and that damn car is her car.

I took a deep breath and walk thru the doors of East Northumberland High… and gasped. There's like, tons of hot boys walking around… and popular girls gossiping and giggling. I was kinda hoping that one of the senior boys will wink at me and say, "I never see you around before… you new here?"

But that won't happen, right?

I suddenly felt I wanna hid behind in the washroom near me. Then a girl that about my age looking a little lost walked to me and said…

"Are you new here?"

"Y-yes…"

"Me too."

I looked into her almond-shaped eyes. A twinkle from her eyes tells me that I found a new friend.
